The city of Berlin is unlike any other. It's home to one of the world's most intense nightlife scenes and a cavalcade of talented electronic musicians. A night out here can turn into days, and conventions of time begin to lose their meaning. Enter ANTIL, an up and coming Audio Engineering graduate moonlighting as staff at one of the city’s most prestigious nightlife institutions. ANTIL surveys a unique landscape here with "Inner Time" - creating three original tracks inspired by the hypnotic, durational experiences of the city’s most coveted dancefloors. To round out the EP, E-Missions manager False Witness dissects the final track to uncover a new, aggressively melodic variation.
These tracks feel like they were built on the precipice of the event horizon, the surface of a black hole where time-space is warped beyond the point of return. “Slink”, “Teak”, and “Bit Ring” are individual studies in polyrhythmic, dub inspired Techno, each crafted for specific moments where dancefloors are enraptured and moving in unison. Where “Slink” is a more uplifting route to euphoric moments, “Teak” takes us deep down into a darker, more primal headspace. “Bit Ring” is a pure tribalesque experience, crafted for moments when a feverishly wild crowd needs to be sustained. The EP rounds out with the False Witness remix of “Bit Ring,” fusing the original’s melodic elements with their signature rolling style basslines, glitch breaks, and ominous sound design.
